
Ingredients–
- 1 kg chicken
- 6 medium onions
- 3 medium tomatoes
- 2 tbsp finely chopped ginger
- 8-10 cloves of garlic
- 2 green chillies
- Salt to taste
- 1 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
- 1 bunch of chopped coriander leaves
- 3/4 cup mustard oil
- 2 bay leaves
Method –
- Peel and slice the onions thinly
- Chop the tomatoes
- Make a paste of the ginger
- Finely chop the garlic and green chillies
- Heat oil in a Kadhai
- Add bay leaves and sliced onions
- Fry the onions till light golden
- Add the ginger paste and chopped garlic and green chillies
- Sauté for a few seconds and add chicken and salt to taste
- Cook on low heat for a few minutes
- Add tomatoes and Kashmiri red chilli powder
- Cover with a lid and cook on low heat
- Stir occasionally
- Once the chicken cooks and the moisture evaporates, add chopped coriander leaves
